The importance of digitalisation and innovation from Europe is demonstrated by the EU's SME policy in its annual European Small Business Week event. Here, the focus is on promoting and exchanging the latest strategies and techniques of countless companies. However, exchange and networking are not the only priorities. Companies are also to be motivated to present their latest innovations - during a competition. At the SME Assembly, which is organised jointly by EuropeanIssuers and Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), participating companies can take home an award in no less than four categories: International Star, Star of Innovation, Rising Star and - depending on the current year - Star of the year (i.e., Star of 2022).
SECO S.p.A. was also part of the event held in November last year. To great applause, our company was awarded the "Star of Innovation", so that Group CEO Massimo Mauri was able to accept the award himself. The prize is awarded to a newly listed small or medium-sized company that places innovation (i.e., corporate strategy, marketing strategy and/or the use of new technologies) at the heart of its corporate development strategy.
