The SYS-C43-IPC box PC from SECO with NXP i.MX 8QuadMax/QuadPlus processors for machine learning at the Edge

SECO, center of excellence in the field of technological innovation for IoT and AI solutions, announces today a new box PC specifically developed for Edge Computing: the SYS-C43-IPC.

This fannel boxed solution is based on NXP i.MX 8 Family of processors, which means advanced graphics, performance and virtualization are granted. Built with innovative vision processing, secure domain partitioning and advanced media processing, this applications processor family can drive display applications and industrial systems.

The SYS-C43-IPC is available with i.MX 8QuadMax (Dual A72-core, Quad A53-core, Dual M4F-core, 2x Graphics accelerators Vivante GC7000 / XVSX) or i.MX 8QuadPlus (Single A72-core, Quad A53-core, Dual M4F-core, 2x Graphics accelerators GC7000Lite / XVSX). With an excellent 4K video resolution, it is also provided with an embedded VPU, supporting H.265 (4K30) and H.264 (1080p60) decoding and H.264 (1080p30) encoding. Plus, it is provided with HDMI® 2.0 output video interface.

This box is equipped with a soldered down LPDDR4-1600 memory, up to 8GB total. It also offers a broad range of connectivity interfaces, including 2x GbE; 1x USB3.0; 1x USB2.0; 1x RS-232; 1x multistandard RS-485 / RS-422; up to an optional WiFi+BT and optional LTE add-on module. Supported OS include Linux and Android.

The SYS-C43-IPC is suitable for applications like digital signage, medical devices, edge computing, industrial automation, and Industrial IoT. Thanks to its complete set of peripheral interfaces, it can also be the right solution to many other smart device applications.
