SECO presents its expanded Human Machine Interface portfolio at embedded world 2022

Through the acquisition of the Garz & Fricke Group in 2021, SECO customers benefit from a unique and complete human machine interface (HMI) product portfolio. At this year's embedded world trade fair, SECO will present its modular product portfolio, which combines a wide variety of processors with sophisticated installation options.

SECO is a global leader of innovative embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. The company will present its expanded Human Machine Interface product portfolio at embedded world 2022, from June 21 to 23, 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany.

In addition to SECO’s wide-ranging FLEXY VISION family, the HMI product portfolio has been expanded to include the modular Proven Concept (PCT) HMI series by Garz & Fricke with flush mount, rear mount, and panel mount installation options and an accompanying single board computer providing display intelligence and interfaces.

At booth 1-320, customers can view and compare the four main installation options, all will be showcased.

The simplest mounting option, rear mount, which is also called open-frame, will be displayed via the NALLINO 4.3 OF PCT, where the HMI is screwed into the device housing from the rear of the HMI and is operated through a rectangular cut-out in the device enclosure. This entry-level rear mount product provides a cost-effective, high quality high-resolution 4.3" display with capacitive touchscreen. It is based on SECO’s NALLINO Single Board Computer (SBC) featuring an NXP i.MX6ULL CPU and offers an excellent price-performance ratio.

With the TANARO 7.0 BX PCT and its NXP i.MX 8M Mini processor, SECO demonstrates its panel mount solution by means of an HMI that offers high performance with low power consumption and low operating temperature. This mounting variant is just as easy to install, as it is inserted from the front of the device through a housing cut-out. Its well-designed brackets provide an integrated seal.

The most visually appealing flush mount installation solution will be exhibited using the SANTARO 10.1 SG IPS. This variant is characterized by a seamless or flush-mounted glass or plastic front, which also provides ingress protection up to IP66. This HMI is based on a SANTARO Core SBC with NXP i.MX6 microprocessor.

Visitors will also find two FLEXY VISION models with the VESA mounting option: the FLEXY VISION 13.3 ARM and the FLEXY VISION 15.6 ARM. In addition to low-power Arm processors (Rockchip RK3399 SoC), this product range is also available with x86 processors (Intel® Atom™ X Series and Intel® Celeron® J / N Series) for high-performance applications.

A 21" HMI with integrated cashless KarL4 payment system demonstration system will also be shown. Visitors will have the chance to experience the integration of SECO’s Clea intelligence platform on the various exhibited devices during the show. This end-to-end IoT/AI software analytics suite enables customers to collect and display insightful data from their in-field devices in real time. Intelligent analysis via Clea apps maximizes profit and revenue, minimizes downtime, and optimizes business operations. This illustrates another point of SECO's extended value proposition: from Edge to AI.

The range of products that SECO will display at embedded world will illustrate its comprehensive and modular HMI product portfolio. In addition to a wide range of processors, from cost-optimized low-power Arm processors to performance- and safety-optimized x86 processors, the company also offers sophisticated HMI installation solutions that can be easily adapted to specific customer requirements.

From June 21 to 23, SECO welcomes visitors to booths 1-310/1-320 at the embedded world Exhibition&Conference 2022 in Nuremberg.
