At VendCon 2023, the company will demonstrate how AI can be used to recognise consumers in front of vending machines. With the help of a camera, the person in front of the machine is recognised and a product selection adapted to the age and gender is presented. We also show how an evaluation of passing customers, interested and buying customers is made in our backend. Among other things, this is done by recognising Bluetooth devices in the environment. This technology is based on our new SaaS AI and IoT software ecosystem CLEA and is executed directly on the device in compliance with data protection regulations.
Another highlight at the stand is the KarL4. The device enables contactless payment with the Girocard, MasterCard and Visa card. The payment terminal runs completely without a PIN pad (TOPP) and also allows for quick age verification if desired. It enables your customers to pay amounts up to 50 EUR securely and intuitively without entering their PIN. This makes for very customer-friendly handling: pull out the card, put it on and make cashless payments. The system is characterised on the one hand by its particularly simple integration into modern HMIs, and on the other hand by the fact that it can be retrofitted very easily. Furthermore, our solution includes not only the hardware but also all services related to payment processing such as telemetry and the acceptance and settlement of payment transactions via an acquirer.
